Miss Misty’s Perspective
As the lead teacher in the Pre-K and Pre-K PLUS classrooms at Teaching World, my heart is fully invested in every child who walks through our door. This is more than just the final step before Kindergarten, it is a supportive, joyful, and confidence-building environment where your child is seen, heard, encouraged, and guided every single day. Families searching for the most nurturing and trustworthy Pre-K program in Nampa often tell me they chose Teaching World because they immediately felt the warmth, structure, and genuine connection that define our classroom community.
Supporting Pre-K learners is incredibly meaningful and deeply rewarding. At this age, children are developing independence, building academic readiness, forming lasting friendships, and growing into their own unique identities. I spend my days teaching them how to problem-solve, helping them express their emotions, celebrating their milestones, and guiding them through new challenges with patience and encouragement. My teaching style blends nurturing care with intentional structure, I meet each child where they are and support them as they grow into confident, capable Kindergarten-ready learners.
Our Pre-K curriculum is designed with purpose, excitement, and Kindergarten readiness in mind. In our classroom, we focus on early literacy, phonemic awareness, writing skills, emergent math, problem-solving, and hands-on science exploration. Children learn through centers, group activities, creative projects, dramatic play, and thematic units that connect learning to real-world experiences. Each activity is intentionally chosen to build foundational academic skills while keeping learning fun, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate.
Milestones in Pre-K are big and worth celebrating. Whether your child is writing their name for the first time, recognizing letter sounds, counting confidently, participating in group discussions, showing leadership, or solving problems independently, I am there to cheer them on. I document their growth through Brightwheel because I want you to feel connected to their progress and proud of every achievement. Watching children transform into confident, enthusiastic learners ready for Kindergarten is one of the greatest privileges of my career.
Our classroom environment reflects our commitment to safety, structure, exploration, and emotional well-being. Every corner is intentionally arranged with literacy centers, math tools, writing stations, dramatic play areas, sensory materials, science tables, and quiet zones for emotional regulation. I want the Pre-K classroom to feel welcoming and empowering, a place where children can explore, take risks, work together, express themselves, and feel safe doing so.
Being a part of Teaching World—a program widely known for excellence in early childhood and Kindergarten readiness education, is something I am truly proud of. To me, these children are not just students; they are future readers, thinkers, leaders, and problem-solvers with incredible potential. When you entrust your child to the Pre-K and Pre-K PLUS Program, you’re giving them a place where they will be guided with intention, encouraged with love, supported with patience, and celebrated every single day as they prepare for their exciting leap into Kindergarten.
