Preschool Program for Young Learners
Children who are fully potty trained and turn three years old by September 1st are eligible to enroll in our Preschool Program. At Teaching World, our Preschool classroom provides a warm, structured, and engaging environment designed to build early academic foundations, social-emotional skills, independence, and confidence. With options for both two-day and three-day schedules, families can choose a program that fits their needs while giving their child an exceptional early learning experience.
Miss Misty’s Perspective
As the lead teacher in the Preschool classroom at Teaching World, my heart is fully invested in every child who becomes part of our learning community. This is more than just a place to prepare for the next grade, it is a warm, encouraging space where your preschooler is seen, supported, and guided as they develop confidence, independence, and academic foundations. Families searching for a trustworthy and nurturing preschool program in Nampa often tell me they chose Teaching World because they immediately felt the joy, connection, and intentional care that fill our classroom each day.
Supporting preschoolers is incredibly meaningful and deeply rewarding. At this age, children are discovering their voices, learning to collaborate, building independence, and stepping into more complex social and academic experiences. I spend my days offering reassurance when emotions feel big, celebrating accomplishments both small and monumental, and guiding children as they begin to explore more structured learning. My teaching style is rooted in patience, creativity, and responsive care. When a child needs comfort, I’m there. When they’re ready to take a risk or try something new, I encourage and support them every step of the way.
Preschool curriculum is playful, exciting, and filled with purpose. In our classroom, we explore early literacy and math skills, strengthen fine and gross motor development, expand vocabulary, build problem-solving abilities, and deepen social-emotional understanding. Through learning centers, hands-on activities, art, dramatic play, music, movement, and thematic units, every experience is intentionally designed to prepare children for Pre-K and beyond.
Milestones in preschool are incredible to witness, and I celebrate each one with enthusiasm and joy. Whether your child is writing their name for the first time, forming new friendships, following multi-step directions, counting proudly, using their words to solve problems, or showing responsibility during routines, these moments matter deeply. I document and share progress through Brightwheel so families can stay connected to their child’s growth and daily experiences. Watching preschoolers blossom into confident, expressive, and eager learners is one of the greatest privileges of my teaching career.
Our classroom environment reflects my commitment to safety, joy, and meaningful learning. Every area is intentionally designed with preschool-sized furniture, inviting learning centers, open-ended materials, sensory experiences, creative spaces, and quiet zones for emotional regulation. I want our classroom to feel like a place where children can explore freely, learn bravely, express themselves openly, and always feel safe, respected, and supported.
Being part of Teaching World, a program widely recognized for exceptional early childhood education, is something I am truly proud of. To me, these children are not just students; they are budding thinkers, problem-solvers, creators, and friends with limitless potential. When you entrust your child to the Preschool classroom, you are giving them a space where they will be guided with intention, nurtured with care, encouraged with enthusiasm, and celebrated every single day as they grow into the amazing learners they are becoming.
